Fender American Stratocaster
A modded 2004 American Strat designed specifically with versatility in mind.
This was bought in 2016 from George Vjestica of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds. It's toured with both Nick Cave and The Specials, and is as dinged and road-worn as you'd expect as as result.
This guitar has a neck blend mod, allowing you to dial the neck pickup into any other pickup setting which creates some very interesting and unique sounds
There's also a modern/vintage switch for the bridge pickup so that you can choose between in-your-face and rocky or old-school stratty quack.
Fender American Telecaster
A "partcastaster" modelled after the classic '52 butterscotch tele, this is probably my all-time favourite guitar.
It plays like an absolute dream. Microscopically low action, and yet crystal clear the whole way up the neck.
The neck pickup also has a coil-split control to allow you to switch from a more modern, punchy tone to a classic Tele sound instantly.
Woodland Wanderer (Custom)
This is a custom-built guitar assembled by Jamie and his partner, Ianthe, in 2023.
They chose to install mini-humbuckers as they struck a great balance between the clarity and attack of single coils and the full-bodied roar of a humbucker
The guitar is also custom-wired for maximum versatility, with independent tone and coil-split controls for each pickup.
Fender American Elite Jazz V
This is literally the best Jazz bass money can buy. They don't make a nicer one. That's why they called it the Elite!
It's got all the features you'd expect from a top-of-the-line instrument, including a 3-band active EQ to allow total control of your tone, and an active/passive switch which allows you to pick between a more modern, in-your-face voicing and classic old-school Jazz bass tone.
It's pretty much impossible to find a sound this bass can't do. From ripping, rattling heavy metal, all the way to deep and mellow reggae tone. Just turn a couple of knobs and you're there
Fender Aerodyne P/J Bass
The first thing to say is that this bass is beautiful... God, it looks good.
Luckily, it also sounds excellent. It's fitted with Seymour Duncan Quarter Pound pickups, which absolutely rip! Throaty, roaring and full of growl.
The bass has also been modified to replace the (often finicky) 2-vol controls found on many passive jazz basses with a much easier-to-use single volume control and a pickup blend.
Partcaster P Bass (Custom)
This is the 2nd custom-built guitar assembled by Jamie and Ianthe. This one is a fairly faithful recreation of the iconic Fender P Bass.
The goal of this instrument was to create something that looks great, sounds great and feels feather-light to play. It absolutely achieved those goals
It's fitted with a '58 Quarterpounder from Bloodstone pickups, which sounds absolutely incredible. It's a perfect balance of fat and luxurious while staying articulate and precise
